It’s a “happy” ending, mc rlly does go crazy with his hallucinations and claims to have amnesia after attempting suicide, but in reality he’s just pretending to have lost his memories bc he enjoys seeing the ml so paranoid he’ll get them back (the ml lies about their past after mc says he’s lost his memories so he can further control him). ml is stressed tf out and ends up being w mc like 24/7 and doting on him, so ig he falls in love?? ml kills the doctor, they get married (or engaged at the very least), and the ml opens up a casino or hotel or smth in place of the red mansion (where he has mc as the “ceo” but just as a figurehead)

Mc claim he forgot his memories. He doesn't have the hallucinating but go to therapy and take medication. But at the end they both stop going to therapy bc the ml doesn't want the mc to remember those memories.

From what I remember mc indeed have amnesia but was for a lil while. But like you said when he saw that ml was treating him nicely like lovers and how he was going to such lenghts to lie to him about having a kinda normal/good past, without mentioning anything about red mansion or how his parents died, mc decided never to tell him that he has recovered his memories can't blame him though, kinda a win-win situation for both of them
