u’re misunderstanding my comment. i never said people can’t criticize the character. what i meant is that if someone finds the content too disturbing just like the character’s asshole behavior or worse—they don’t have to keep reading just to be upset about it. no one is forcing them. that’s different from saying criticism isn’t allowed.
and sure, the comment section exists for opinions—but that applies both ways. if people can criticize the character, then others can also comment on how certain discussions are framed. u’re telling me not to react to criticism of the character, but at the same time, you’re reacting to my criticism of how people approach the story. so, if you want to argue that people should be free to express their opinions, then you should be okay with me expressing mine too, right?
