Well, she's been through a lot, and learns little in the process. Her attitude, nobility to commoner, may alter during the course of the story, but her naivete does not. Surviving what she had, would have knocked some of the clueless out of her, in reality, but this is fiction, so let us take that for what it is. He's lovely, though I kinda feel for him falling for her... But whatever.
