Going through the comments and half of the Jaeha hate comments read this series with eyes closed and I meant that in a derogatory way.

I'll try to be polite but some of y'all are children left behind especially when the topic of empathy comes up. I'm not saying Jaeha's behavior was justified but its self explanatory on why he decided the things he did. Yes he has hurt many people and it's literally pointed out many times in the story he has a hard time forgiving himself cause he's aware of those actions hence the self destructive behavior. If you came here reading lover boy expecting it to be a "get even" type of love story there are probably better suited manhwa for y'all taste.

Jaeha engages in self sabotage.... cause suprise suprise he has trauma and people like him respond to any type of conflict with avoidant behavior. Its not even subtle how the story hammers in so many times that Jaeha is a deeply traumatized individual who thinks he ruins everything. Mind you he came from a) an abusive household b) was groomed by an older professor c) was outed. Y'all try to say Eunho deserved better but Eunho loves Jaeha as he is. It's smelling a little bit of entitled projection when y'all act like Jaeha personally hurt y'all and declare him the worst bottom out there.

It's not like Eunho didn't get mad nor was he a doormat who just took everything in stride. But the thing is the story shows it won't heal them nor would it make any past hurt go away. Lover boy at its core is a story of selfless love and again not to repeat myself it's probably not for you if your takeaway is that Jaeha doesn't deserve Eunho. Like wasn't that how the first half of the series ended? Why Jaeha left the first time? Cause he thinks he's the worst and Eunho is a pure individual who can't be sullied by him? It's kinda ironic how the hate comments here sound like Jaeha's worst innermost thoughts.

But Eunho is human who his own flaws. Jaeha putting him in a pedestal is what lead to their first breakup. Eunho is Eunho cause he loves Jaeha in spite of all that. Love isn't something that is to be rewarded for "good behavior", that it's for someone to deserve. It's such a pussy ass reading of the series when it's message is healing. Kinda sad Euja overestimated some of y'all reading abilities
