I am a fifth year at the University of Michigan (previously transferred from a small liberal arts school) with a double concentration in Japanese Studies and Illustration. My academic background includes Western classical texts, geography/cultural anthropology, and creative writing. Personal credentials as my reference, I rate based on overall profoundness, relative to a manga's targeted audience. I also rate based on my personal sense for the author's storytelling potential and whether or not they fulfilled it in the stories they set out to depict. In truth, I've read a lot more than I have time to rate. I'll be going through and marking everything I've already looked at on one of these days. List descriptions coming soon as well!
