How long are they going to need realize that teamwork doesn’t fit in the blue lock vocabulary?? This is my biggest reason why I think that NagiReo won’t make it far; unless they give up on the whole duo idea they will just get - to put it in bllk terms - “devoured”
I wouldn’t really call this teamwork in the traditional sense, as goals and dreams are a little different. Reo wants to make Nagi the best striker, while Nagi wants to be the Nagi Reo wants him to be. A shared dream, but different goals that align. To survive as a duo, they’re learning they have to grow on their own, which still aligns with the author’s philosophy about soccer, just on a smaller scale.
It’s definitely not the traditional teamwork, but rather a duo as you mentioned and that’s still a ‘problem’ in the bllk narrative of wanting a single striker to survive in the end. As Bacchira said it in the most recent chapter (298) by passing to Reo, Nagi basically dug his own grave because he couldn’t go through the evolution of ego most of them went through.
I won’t deny that them playing with each other contributes to said evolution (as we’ve seen with many others not just them) but that has been going on since they were first introduced and not much has changed since then; it’s mostly been NagiReo with some occasional falling offs and we’ve never seen their independent egos like with BacchiraIsagi for example, who are also a duo but heavy independent when it comes to their ego
Looks like it’s about to change with the recent chapter alright! Not sure abt the source but if the author did say that NagiReo will show an alternative philosophy, or counter Ego’s, then it’s possible they won’t develop like IsaBachi.

I know this has become a meme for Isagi atp, but people need to understand that it’s exactly because he has a loving family that he is such a menace; unlike the rest, Isagi’s family isn’t that well off and he also has no real football talent to shine with, his real talent is in tactical/adjusting. Unlike the rest who might find their place in some pro team due to their abilities, he can only best exist and push himself in bllk amongst these geniuses until he reaches his full potential. He has the most ambition and the biggest fear to lose; just look at chapter 291 where Iiori/Yukimiya were praising Isagi in their mind and thinking how important he was for them as both a friend and player and then we switch to Isagi’s mind that only goes “Omg I’m finna lose” HE IS LOCKED IN 24/7 so ofc he’d act like a demon the entire time during a match and only switch to his nice personality outside the field
I only came here because of the title and an edit of the scene where Rein send out the dog version of Will to bite her ex husband; I was left in the belief that this was fr about some dog who can turn into a human or something..needless to say that was the first miss;
Then it started off great and I really thought we’d finally have a villainess that is thoroughly filled with hate/rage till the end but she not only used Will the same way everyone else did and even worse by constantly shackling him with her “love” but then had the audacity to make everything about herself and her ‘pain’ like bitch he literally did everything for you, he gave you a second chance, he fought and dirtied himself for you..what did you actually do in these 92 chapters besides bitch around and complain?? You didn’t even tame him, he basically submitted to you willingly? And you didn’t take the revenge personally, but he served it to you on a silver platter and for what?? You called THAT revenge?? Stabbing and already dead dude?? Girl that’s perhaps the most superficial and unsatisfying revenge I’ve ever seen..
Only thing I’m happy about is that Will is happy in the end..if it were me in Rein’s place, I first and foremost would’ve dropped the idea of using Will and actually dedicated myself to paving a way for him to become the emperor so both he and I could get our revenge and what we deserve (as in when the ex husband gets dethroned and left with nothing, I’d not only have him at his lowest and most vulnerable but I’ll also give him the finishing blow as the cherry on top) and secondly I would’ve wished for someone like Sierra who could at least fight to be his wife but no..it’s always the useless princess girlies

the way Isagi’s team (and the rest of the world) got that whole telenovela-esque goodbye to see and hear is hilarious; nevertheless it is a development I expected since long ago..it’s a slight shame but hope the rest learns from that
