Hey I study psychology I could say that Reo seems to not have any empathy like he can’t feel it you know what I mean ? So he doesn’t know what is good or bad he is really selfish and forceful to obtain what he wants. He can’t feel that the brown dude is not happy with this whole situation because he doesn’t understand someone saying « it hurts me » I’m not excusing him or anything I am just trying to tell you what’s wrong I can’t do a long analysis because I’m not experienced but I think he is a psychopath or something like that he doesn’t understand social norms and doesn’t give a fuck about it also It’s not said in the manga but maybe he enjoys hurting the brown guy which is another trait for a psychopath

What I mean is that I didn't think his case would be SO bad at the point of being a psychopath. When I hear the word psychopath I can only think of Dahmer and other killers. I was just waiting for something like Jentzuto said at the very beginning, that he somewhat doesn't feel empathy and all. There is actually a lot of psychopaths who doesn't kill and who live perfectly well in our society. Actually, there is a lot of them who do politics, because they're like super clever and manipulative and egocentrics and great liars etc etc (Yikes). Well the more I think about it, the more I think Reo is not a psychopath but more of a sociopath lol

You know being a psychopath doesn’t mean automatically that you will kill somebody in fact there are many psychopath in our society they just don’t harm other person !! Being a psychopath means that you have an anti social personality it is a trouble that groups genre like psychopath sociopath…. It is rare that someone who is a psychopath kill it’s just because sometimes they have pulsions and they’re life background is very important if the person had a bad childhood with violence it will cause a anti social personality and maybe pulsions of killing someone but not in all cases a psychopath or a sociopath is capable of killing someone because he can’t fell empathy and in this situation enjoy harming other person :)

I thought that Reo might be a sociopath at once but the difference between a sociopath and psychopath is that a sociopath has a conscience he knows that what he is doing is bad but he does it anyway. a psychopath is someone that doesn’t have a conscience and so, doesn’t know what is bad or wrong it seems that Reo doesn’t know that he is raping Kasuya because he thinks it is love but in fact it is just an obsession of controlling him and possessing him. And you are totally right psychopath are usually on top of society because they like being dominant and having a group of person for them they control their image they lie easily and doesn’t hesitate to be mean with someone to be at a higher level psychopath are usually a good figure people like them a lot they are charismatic very charming and kind they know what to do to take people’s heart but every psychopath is different again it depends on their background they are many psychopath who are inexistant like they don’t like popularity and they are perceive as a failure they are often mocked and they are the most dangerous

It is obvious that he has mental health issues because what he is doing isn’t love but he thinks it is so in the beginning we can say for sure that he is not « normal » psychopath don’t understand love this is a abstract thing to them they lack of emotion for Reo it’s more like he enjoys controlling and possessing Kasuya he says this is love because he believe that it is somehow the term to define their relationship you see ?? I kept wondering if maybe he just grew up with terrible parents, like his father forcing their mother into sex constantly and hurting her and her accepting it while they call it love. But we've seen Reo's dad and he seems like a nice person (even if he might not be morally perfect). We don't really know anything about the mom (except that she also slept with Kuzuya lol), so maybe she was the abusive one? Or maybe the parents didn't have anything to do with it.

Since this is Harada I also thought about Reo having been sexually abused as a child, maybe by a teacher. But again this doesn't make much sense since he's always been physically strong, even as a kid.

He doesn't seem traumatized either.

He just seems to completely lack any form of empathy or understanding of other people's emotions, which is what makes him so interesting in my opinion. He's absolutely clueless and has no idea that he's doing something wrong. It's almost kind of tragic, lol

Background is very important for a diagnostic we don’t get to see too much of Reo’s past so it is difficult
I believe that it’s not a simple issue with his parents he has a mental illness because he can’t feel empathy he doesn’t know what it is and that’s the very big problem it’s not « normal » it is a trait of a human being and if he doesn’t have it then it’s serious
They are many people who are psychopath and sociopath that have brain malformation I’ll explain it : the brain has different areas for each fonction like language moving … in the frontal lobe (I don’t know if you say it like this in English) there is a area for empathy and another in the parietal lobe and it was observed that people who struggle with empathy have damages in those area it can also be caused by a shock
So Reo maybe has some brain damage we can be open to many paths but what is sure is that he has a mental illness in the spectrum of anti social personality

Having brain damage in those areas means you’ll have a antisocial personality disorder so it reaches what I thought in the beginning lol or he just has a low IQ but again even if a person is not intelligent they don’t do that because they have empathy it’s very complicated :)
