So everyone here is confused if he was dead from the beginning or not. No he died after the 99th story. Because if he told the 100th story his mom will fully possessed Hina and Hina's soul will disappear and ultimately death. And Yumma didn’t want that (my sweet boy). So, he killed himself and didn’t finish the 100th story. So, my guess is his mom soul also disappear as her soul (possibly) was here because of Yumma. I think that is why Yumma told his mom to go to Hina's house. So, when his mom's soul disappear, Hina will be at home.
I feel soo sad for Yumma. Poor Yumma, why always good kids suffer the most. He just wanted to be with his mom.
I want to see the sorry excuse of a father to suffer the worst.

I wouldn't talk about the ending as I didn’t like it but season 1 was good that is why I stick with this until the end. And author did his best as one person doing all this. They don't even have a proper team which sad. That is a lot of work...I hope they get a good vacation.
Poor Vess. He was such a good kid but that potion turned him into monster.
Wasn’t hoping for a happy ending but they somewhat deserve a happy ending. Not sure about Vess though, he will live eternity whereas Graven will die someday.
