I’ve never followed ratings tbh. If anything, I look at comments if I want some more insight into an opinion, but star/number ratings (even for movies, shows, games, etc.) have never mattered to me mainly because we all have different tastes and I don’t want to miss out on something good just because someone doesn’t have the same taste as me.

i agree, the ratings here are so inflated. so many mediocre manhwas have 9+ ratings and at the same time mangas mostly end up getting lower ratings when the same story would be a masterpiece had it been a manhwa or smth (IMO at least)

i trust manhwa ratings but not the toxic ones, i just know people be voting because they are crazy. in general anything below 9 is ass in manhwa but in manga people be rating the greatest stories low and it genuinely baffles me, i never read mangas with rating bias

I don't even trust comments or reviews sometimes either. I've had to drop a couple stories I intended to read because the comments on this site aren't trust worthy at all. I saw so much praise about how cute and good a story was but then I go on another site to see their comments and lo and behold, there's rape and other topics like cheating, I prefer not to read. There's a lot of censoring on this site regarding people commenting about the TW contents and so many people get pissy if you talk about it, always going on about "who cares, dont like dont read" like??? I would have LOVED if the people who didn't like the cheating/rape left more comments about it so I wouldnt have to waste my time either

I also don't read based on ratings. Not anymore. But it is just infatuating. I am someone who love dark theme stories but see people saying "where is the character development?" and proceed to give 1 star. I mean why do you expect to find character development in a dark/twisted storylines where most are twisted people and at least those have good storylines and don't see much raping just psychological brain playing. On the other hand, rape getting glorified. Just take Jinx as example, it has 8.9 rating is baffling and people hype this manhwa where rape and red flag is glorified. Just you wait, author would show that red flag is getting character development and chasing Dan. The ratings will instantly sky rocketing.
