Well, I'm sure there's more to this whole thing. He's clearly under pressure from his Dad to do certain things and behave in certain ways, not sure how much his thing with the MC is outside of those plans. It doesn't seem logical that he would let the MC see that he had that photo (that must have been deliberate), but then do something that would alienate the MC. If he wanted to do something to his friend, he would've done it anonymously, and if he wanted to show his power to the MC, he wouldn't pretend to be gentle.

So, either it's just illogical/out-of-character, or it's someone else's doing.

I'm sure we're supposed to become sympathetic towards the ML in the end (unless there's a big twist and he's not the true ML), but I do dislike how with stories like this we're supposed to ignore and forget that he still purposely blackmailed the MC's friend and manipulated the MC into dating him.

Anyway, on with the drama!

I can't help wondering if there's a bit more to her reason not to tell her bf, at least. Maybe there isn't, other than recognising the reality that he won't be easily able to carry out his studies and establish his career if he knows about the baby, as well as how society will view them both. Maybe that's enough of a reason for her. But I always wonder if there's a little more to it, considering that it's fairly extreme to lie to everyone when they'll eventually find out she has a baby.

I always sympathise with the MCs too much to really enjoy characters who ignore whatever the MC says or wants. I can't detach enough to find it entertaining, I just wish things'd hurry up and be less frustrating. ╥﹏╥

The girl on the news was probably the one the MC hooked up with and the ML was the culprit! Eeeee.

(I had completely forgotten what these stories were about....I almost can't imagine they're by the same person who created the lovely "Suki ni Nattara Dame desu ka?")

I kinda wanted to see them meet up with Jean! Like, a little bit of consolation for them both for giving up their family and friends. But it was a nice ending anyway.

Well, I've read over 40 chapters, and it's got a lot of entertaining points about it. Ultimately, I find the MC has no real agency in the story, however - she's always being swung about, outwitted, drugged, overpowered, reined in, manipulated and I'm finding myself far too frustrated by this. I don't mind that she's in a challenging situation and surrounded by clever and powerful people, I'd just like her to actually have some useful skills and use them effectively at least sometimes. Anyway, I'm a little sad about it because it had great potential, but it seems this isn't the webtoon to for me after all.

This used to be an extra over on the page for Tightrope. Glad it's been popped onto the end of this, now. The manga (maybe my favourite of this mangaka's - if it's possible to choose a favourite!) always feels a little like it peters out, and I always felt this particular extra gives a little sense of closure.

(Still, there was a tiny part of me hoping it was a real new extra.)

Among the many things I like about this story, I like the balanced way it addresses Keiichi's mother's attitude. While it shows how her actions and the thoughts behind them are truly ignorant and hurtful to him, it also presents her as a mother struggling to understand and support her son over something she actually has deep-rooted prejudices about. Keiichi recognises this and so, while he is seriously hurt by it, he also sees her pitiful attempt to support him with the uniform and doesn't reject it.

Furthermore, there's that one little part where Meguru reflects on how his mother apparently found the gay magazine in his room and took it away and acted as if everything was normal. He also felt seriously rejected by her over it, but later he noticed she'd been researching it online, and showed her unprejudiced love for him in her interactions with Keiichi much later. It seems to give hope in the story that Keiichi's mother may eventually also move past her current attitude to one with more real understanding an acceptance, although it may take a while.

Anyway, it's something I always appreciate about this story - that it doesn't make excuses for her ignorance and hurtful behaviour (in fact, she has less excuse than most considering her job) and it doesn't have her attitude conveniently improve to tie up the story neatly, but it doesn't write her off as a horrible mother and bad person beyond redemption, either.

(Caveat to my statement about Keiichi not rejecting the uniform: it is, if course, partly because he can also see her stereotyped ideas and feels a bit helpless about trying to go against her, the uniform is definitely more of a negative than a positive for him, I just meant that mixed up with all of that is his recognition that it may be a poor, ignorant and hurtful way of trying to sort him, but it is an attempt just the same - despite her own feelings, she'll present her son to the world in a skirt.)

Well, this was a good idea poorly done. It was readable, but the ML (though far from the worst) wasn't given any redeeming moments, the MC (though likeable enough to inspire sympathy) tended to flip-flop all over the place. The world of the story, the way it worked, and many details of the plot were patchy, underdeveloped/poorly explained or inconsistent.

That's not to say that someone couldn't be entertained for a while reading this, it is quite easy to read. It just isn't a GREAT story, and it had fair bit of potential that wasn't realised.

...In my opinion.

Jeez that God-creature is so manipulative. It probably caused Donghwa's parents to move because Seunghyun thought Donghwa would reject him if he could see ghosts, then had him return when it looked like it would lose Seunghyun's body because he had no will to live without Donghwa.

It wouldn't surprise me if the unconnected strings are just a lie created by the God-thing so Seunghyun would give up on Donghwa. It also wouldn't surprise me if Seunghyun's dad was similarly manipulated into leaving.

(But they're just my guesses, don't tell me what really happens if you know!)
