nope it's because she's being controlled by the original flow of the story. after all, they were supposed to end up together. but because the emperor fell in love with the empress, she doesnt have a chance. she's just confusing her feelings or basically being manipulated by her supposed feelings had the story not changed.
I understand the hesitance you continue reading this manhua because of the endgame so let me put this in perspective.
Hari and Eugene are not biologically related. Hari was never adopted out of love or want for her personally. She was adopted to fill a hole in the mother’s heart and be replacement for the original girl. Yes they grew up together but only for two years and even then you could tell Eugene didn’t see her as family regardless of whichever reason you’ll take. Hari has more of a family bond with the other brothers, hell even Johan.
I know someone going to bring up their past lives but it’s mentioned before the never developed a sibling bond until closer to her final days in her previous life Even then, that version of him does not exist. So maybe the author will play on that fact. It’s like an alternate universe or alternate route. Maybe this could be one in a million chance of this route happening and we got lucky. Also this isn’t me condoning incest etc etc but thinking about it like this helped me come to terms with the direction this manhua is heading.

I really don't mind about the eldest brother end up with Hari. And I already aware of the fact that they are not growing up together for 6 years. In fact, they're more like childhood friends rather than siblings.
But! The problem is!
Hari is adopted officially, right? She is in the family registration (if that exist here). And they also keep introduce themselves as siblings. What will happen in the future if they end up liking each other? Will they able to get marry? What about what others are thinking? They never mention that a marriage between siblings is allowed, (like in some Isekai manga). Unless if they haven't disclose that yet in the story

The Vasian (I think that was the name lol) could just adopt her since she was with them twice as long as she was with her own "family". Plus, no one would really say much about it since she has no high social standing/background as she was literally picked off the street. The only "problem" that will arise is people saying that Eugene and Hari can't get married bc of her poor background.

She is from 21st century and that's why she has different thinking way than people in this world. It's true that she is in new world now but still, she has no memory of the old FL, so that's why she acts as what she thinks it's common sense for her!
This is just a theory but, I feel the twin brother might’ve threatened her / got into her head. He might’ve been obsessed with her or obsessed with taking everything that he brother has ( inferiority complex ). I could see it as the brother threatened the ML life or told the FL if she doesn’t leave she “of commoners birth” will ruin the ML life. Honestly I can look past the kid because some children can unconsciously know their parents without ever meeting them. Maybe it’s something in him that compels him to get his mother with the man. And the child is a genius apparently so it’s only natural that he doesn’t act or behave like other kids.. now the ML is tactless. He probably remembers her but couldn’t find her so he decided to push her far into his memories. Suppressing it until he caught a glimpse of her again and those feelings came rushing back.
