Jaekyung that wasn't very apologetic, not very demure

Whew god I cracked this open for bedtime and and now it's got my adrenaline pumping. Honestly I think this is a really good depiction of abuse. A naive kid who's struggled all his life is approached by a much more powerful guy, shown kindness and support and just when he's starting to lean in closer, the rug is pulled out from under him. The first rape scene especially was so horrific and heartbreaking. Jaeha was just a regular gentleman then suddenly turns into a crude monster. And it shattered the tone of the story up until this point and tipped it into horror. The slow deterioration of Wooyeon's resistance and the off-screen implied brainwashing in the little things he says are chilling. Watching the 2nd ML fumble clumsily at saving him is hard to stomach but that's what a lot of inexperienced intervention looks like. I like that Wooyeon isn't a perfect pristine victim you sometimes see in this genre, and I like that Jaeha isn't a reachinraving unstable kind of cliche crazy, he's cold and calculating. I'm curious to see how this ends. Not for the faint of heart for sure!

I love this bc the author does not pull punches, Hee-seo is truly an obsessed and cruel captor. The dedication to the confinement horror is everything to me he's horrible

Yiyoung was literally sidelined in his own story I was being patient bc this new character is cute, but it's really too much, especially this weird place to end a season.
