I feel like Seo Dan has lost his personality and has become a vehicle for the author to write about ML. Like how French fries are a vehicle for ketchup lol ML yaps so much and Seo Dan just looks at him with pouty lips and sparkly teary moe moe eyes. And for some reason they're falling for each other? When did that happen

Honestly kind of speechless.... I get if the author was ready to be done with this project but it's still disappointing, especially how Do-ha's relationship with his brother was resolved. I'm glad Doha got his happy ending but it was too rosey perfect simplified.

Often, when your assaulter is a member of your family, it IS easier to find a way to move on and forgive bc unless you cut off contact, they're in your life until you or they die. And that often means cutting contact with the WHOLE family when they don't know you've been assaulted. They live in a separate reality from you and have no idea how deeply you've been hurt, or that you've been hurt and betrayed at all. So you either lose your family, tell your family and blow it up, keep your family but suffer silently endlessly, or keep your family and TRY to move on. It's a very hard position to be in and can be motivation to find forgiveness, even if it's not true forgiveness, just enough to be able to function as a family member with minimal trauma. And all of those complicated feelings take a long time to parse through and WOULD have made for a great arc toward Doha's healing bc healing is never perfect.

It's not even that I only would have accepted Dohyuk getting the bad karma end he deserved (though I wouldn't have complained lol) and it's true that people who do unforgivable things go on to live totally happy lives, but narratively, it would have been nice to get SOMETHING a bit more nuanced and satisfying. Instead we got this....

The audacity of the family to be so pissy with Hakyung when he did literally everything they asked... like sorry there were serious consequences because YOU decided to run a con and force an innocent kid to lie about his identity. Anyways can't wait for them to get married and tell the in-laws to suck lemons and fuck off

You'd be angry too. The father told Hakyung to leave, but Hakyung chose to disobey those order and attempt to go see the grandfather again. If he weren't in the car at that moment, Yoonsung would've have swerved and hit the other side of the car to save himself. Hakyung also wasn't forced, and definitely isn't innocent in this either. He CHOSE to take on the job. He had a choice. Always did. He's no innocent in this because he chose to deceived an innocent old man just for his own personal gains. Let's not forget, Yoonsung is in critical condition. If your son was in the ICU, your emotions would be running high and you'd want to point fingers as well. For all they know, Yoonsung could never wake up again.

Buddy if it were me, I wouldn't have done any of that shit in the first place lol. I'm not saying they can't be upset, I'm saying they've been unnecessarily shitty to Hakyung the whole time bc they're shitty people who find it more convenient to blame one kid for an accident that could have happened anytime anywhere than face their own culpability for arranging the entire scenarioc that led up to this. Also "Do this or watch hopelessly as your mother dies a slow death bc you don't have the money for any possibility of a treatment" isn't really a choice, it's exploitation.

It was a choice. Exploitation, yes. A choice, yes. He could've said no. Most people with morals would have said no and would have rather worked hard because they're not "shitty people" who don't have any morals.

Hakyung is not innocent at all, and does deserve some blame. He doesn't deserve all this harsh treatment, but he isn't blameless.

Aahhh this is the BEEEST I love every single character, the pacing is great, the art is gorgeous. I love their relationship, their hearts are so..... tender and fragile like a baby bird, and yet they have to endure untold hardships anyway. Also I'm obsessed with Si-eon, he's so evil and sexy and I can't wait to see his fucked up little greenhouse of horrors. That kid, the middle man who's "Je-oh's stand in" his speech was soooo good. The writing in this is amazing
