Oh come on!! Phil being so unbothered by all these messed up relationships is rubbing me the wrong way. Girl, if you want to be mad, just be mad. You have every right to be. Everyone be doing crap to her but she keeps grace is actually frustrating. I know she’s from another world but her disassociation from herself blurs the line between doormat and unrealism.
Phil is not from another world. She's from this world. I do understand the frustration but I think it makes sense for her character because the Phil she read in the book (basically her future) was always throwing tantrums and causing a scene. I think she doesn't want to do that. I also can't say she's completely doormat-like since she allowed her uncle to be taken by the fairy queen knowing he'd be tortured to death. I think she doesn't want to harm people by her own hand especially if it could impact her image. Atp. I think she's just being cautious and playing it slowly.
I wouldn't say she's keeping grace and unbothered. But as someone who grew up knowing you have a father who didn't grow up with you, I relate to her indifference at the 'dad' situation. The mom part is frustrating but i think reading her own history early in the story prepared her heart with whenever she meets her mom.
Surviving in the palace is one thing, but her dealing with her new family is actually a refreshing sight. How else would you deal with a new family aside from being awkward lol. Emotions are hard to deal with when you're focused on surviving. Sorry for ranting on your post. ಥ_ಥ
The way I understand the story, it's a learned response from childhood.
Her lack of strong or violent reaction is something she trained herself in ever since she read the book because at that time, she believed it to be crucial for her survival.
Since she's so used to not having violent reactions and focusing on more logic based rxns rather than emotional based ones, it has now become her second nature w/c I think aligns w/her characterization in the story
When she read that book she saw her another version, who is mad and jelaous and called villainess. So I think she believes that she doesnt have the right to be mad. The book was from elencia's perspective. And she saw her own future as a had-it-all nasty tempered antagonist. In some sense, her opinion about herself is a bit distorted. She's just realizing the book is not fully trustworthy. And I think she is discovering her feelings while founding out the pieces.
All the males look alike, like just the colors are different and maybe the tips of their hair…. Like unmmn… except that long haired one which, counts as tips of hair as well…. Hmmm

（￣へ￣）From what I gather everyone is struggling with the idea that Astariol are essentially stronger and more perfect beings ruled by logic and not emotion. So much so that they can be ruthless and narcissistic in their actions. The Tare seem to be the only exception to this rule as they act irrational around them. What everyone seems to misunderstand that Claire and her father, although they do run true to their nature, that their experiences have given them more empathetic tendencies that keep being misunderstood. Claire chose to let herself be used for the benefit of her friend and offered such. But the friend thinks she is just manipulating him under the guise of entrapment, getting closer and closer to him. Making him think he is a Tare, suggesting they could one day marry. Claire doesn’t understand he may actually like her. But he thinks she must know and is using it to her advantage. He believes she will ultimately use him and then throw him away.
The father and mother bit, she equates his love as more obsession. And he is trying to break her will to leave him is what he means. He is trying to make her wholly dependant on him so she may never him…. Because he doesn’t understand people can stay because of love. She is also a novice at giving and receiving love. The blind leading the blind ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Charante is full of crap, it’s no wonder she doesn’t believe him. She was useless as a baby and so she almost starved. Her dad was in love with a useless woman so he was disowned. She is giving so many hints that she remembers everything from those since I was a baby comments and all he does is just brush them aside instead of addressing her trauma. For someone who is always on top, saying that it’s not needed are just empty words. (︶︿︶)＝凸
