I love this story. Really wish the updates were quicker, though I understand it takes a while. So far I've just been checking on YouTube updates to see when he'll finally stand up to them and say, "Imma marry this girl." Don't worry, guys. Only about another sixty-two chapters. Then after that, problems get even worse. orz

They really ruined some parts of this. I'm supposed to feel bad for Ga-Hyun's unrequited love? I'm supposed to feel bad for the girl who raped someone, had the baby and then talks about how his father was her "husband" as if they were close? She has the right to tell Hyun-Bin that she doesn't really love him?
I also disliked the epilogue with the children. It was unnecessary, forced, and I hate how much he looked like Bi-Rak.
It's amazing how they can ruin a story so easily. Still, 7/10.
Also, how do we get this tagged as a tragedy?

Thanks for this post. I was 60 chapters in and just wanted the story to end, so I decided to read the comments to see if it was worth continuing. Clearly it isn't since it looks like it'll get even more frustrating.

Why don't they let the purple-haired daughter marry him if she likes him so much? I originally thought they adopted her so that their own daughter could have some freedom, but if she wants him then why not give her to him instead? Is it because she hasn't been trained to be as "refined" like her adopted sister was?

My understanding (in about nutshell size)
Warning Spoiler (if not already read to ch 25)
☆Both families are superstitious
☆They believe that a persons luck is determined at birth by the stars they are born under, ie some combination the astrological phenomenon and the birth date
☆The 2 heirs (the purple hair and fiancé) were born with disaster level of luck that will cause ruin to their respective families
☆Jingxi was adopted to counter act the bad luck for purple hair
☆The grandfather of the fiancé worked out that if Jingxi were to marry the fiancé that it will counter act his bad luck.

It's mentioned multiple times right from ch 1 that she has the fate of a Queen as per her time of birth - basically astrology type superstition.
YEEEEEES! SHE SAID IT!
Now cue trust issues once she finds out he's not really gay.
