It did feel really boring, I think if it stretched out for 2 volumes it could’ve been more impactful. This is just a manga meant as just yaoi sex without care for the story but it’s more boring than most.
I feel like the ml never really hated the mc in the start of the story, he just slightly dislikes him but he refuses to leave at the same time

Well what we (readers) can say about??? Since 10 years fasting and caging their desire , so yeah both of them "NEVER ENOUGH ", And personally as for me ( a reader ) I'm enjoying all those unleashed, to the point I forgot the plot too.
i understand that they want to do it a lot however to present it as story to reader, it's not necessary to put in all the details. it's possible to just mention it and skip it u know. ofc this is just my preference as i prefer some plot of the story to not be disturbed or distracted by smexy scene. i know a lot of reader really like smut stuff lol. beside that manhua probably is smut genre so it's understandable. i only complained for my own preference, it has nothing to do with the quality of the manhua itself ¯_(ツ)_/¯
