IDK this push and pull is really frustrating.

I think the hardest step in any journey righting your wrongs is first admitting your mistake and accepting that what you had done was wrong, then taking that first very difficult step towards asking for forgiveness. Seeing how much Chowon was shaking, it's genuinely terrifying for him and that's okay. What he's doing right now is so very brave, especially since he technically doesn't have anyone by his side. I'm proud of this character development. It takes A LOT to realize what you need to do in order to get better isn't always pretty or comfortable.

I like this Chowon and I hope he finds the peace with those he has wronged, as well as peace with himself.

As for Kyungsoo, hear me out. I don't blame him nor think it was necessarily cruel that he didn't rush to Chowon's side. He said it himself, I can't see him like this.

If he had rushed to Chowon's side, in my opinion, it would just reinforce bad behavior. It sends the wrong message to Chowon that what he did was okay, and that Kyungsoo would immediately rush to his side. It just doesn't work out that way.

I think Kyungsoo not being there was also a wake up call that Chowon really needed.

Sometimes people need to get better by themself, and that includes focusing on themself and them alone. Chowon can't juggle seeking redemption or forgiveness from those he has hurt, while also giving his attention to mending the rift between him and Kyungsoo that resulted from his actions.

It's a step by step process, and I think it's clear that once Chowon is able to find forgiveness and closure from his past, only then can he step forward to being better for himself. And when he is better, it will follow that he can move forward to Kyungsoo.

This is just my opinion, and I hope I make sense. Anyway, I find that Kyungsoo is good for Chowon, he makes Chowon want to become better rather than remain stagnant and unhappy in his life.

Is fucked lmao as he deserves

I knew it, he definitely would find out.

IMHO, Chowon has his own issues to deal with (this is very obvious) and should seek some sort of help regarding those since it affects the relationships he has, and how he treats other. Regardless, it doesn’t excuse what he did in the past; his actions were horrible and hurtful to so many people. That being said, we should condemn the action, not the person. I’m still waiting for some character development for Chowon which I know Kyungsoo will definitely help with.

At the end of the day, each person should have the chance to better themselves... how else can someone change if never given the chance to do so?

Personally I still dislike Chowon but the fact of the matter is, even someone like him deserves his shot at being genuinely happy, and maybe this is how he can truly face the depth of his past behavior and move beyond it.

is a little bitch

Are such good guys. Honestly. They're both really caring for her, willing to help her and it's just SO HARD to see someone as good as Jin be rejected.

I like that the author created two male leads who support our FL without being overbearing and thinking they know what's best for her.

sandu November 5, 2020 12:38 pm

TBH ever since the whole drugging thing came to light, I feel like he doesn't deserve her. He lost faith so fast as to stage a coup d'etat and didn't bother to further investigate her suspect behavior. IDK this might be a bit harsh but I feel like he's getting a free pass from letting the original empress down the way he did

I had the same thoughts. Like theybsaid they were super close before and he was extremely loyal, so he shoukd have been the first to notice strange behaviour and investigated outside sources and stuff.

She is an adult and people were killed because her addiction so no, is not eusto's fault. She was strong, educated, powerfull and threat to commoners so the coup d'etat was the best way to go.
If on drugs you become a monster then maybe you were always a monster.

There are so many things wrong with this statement especially regarding drugs and their effect on people, especially in regards to addiction. But this is not the place for that. You have your opinion.

Tbh reading this scene made me way stressed out and emotional, and hopefully the manhwa will give justice as to why.
