Holy shit I never expected that it was the SON who did the ritual. That was pretty damn good misdirection by the author.

I think the hardest step in any journey righting your wrongs is first admitting your mistake and accepting that what you had done was wrong, then taking that first very difficult step towards asking for forgiveness. Seeing how much Chowon was shaking, it's genuinely terrifying for him and that's okay. What he's doing right now is so very brave, especially since he technically doesn't have anyone by his side. I'm proud of this character development. It takes A LOT to realize what you need to do in order to get better isn't always pretty or comfortable.

I like this Chowon and I hope he finds the peace with those he has wronged, as well as peace with himself.

As for Kyungsoo, hear me out. I don't blame him nor think it was necessarily cruel that he didn't rush to Chowon's side. He said it himself, I can't see him like this.

If he had rushed to Chowon's side, in my opinion, it would just reinforce bad behavior. It sends the wrong message to Chowon that what he did was okay, and that Kyungsoo would immediately rush to his side. It just doesn't work out that way.

I think Kyungsoo not being there was also a wake up call that Chowon really needed.

Sometimes people need to get better by themself, and that includes focusing on themself and them alone. Chowon can't juggle seeking redemption or forgiveness from those he has hurt, while also giving his attention to mending the rift between him and Kyungsoo that resulted from his actions.

It's a step by step process, and I think it's clear that once Chowon is able to find forgiveness and closure from his past, only then can he step forward to being better for himself. And when he is better, it will follow that he can move forward to Kyungsoo.

This is just my opinion, and I hope I make sense. Anyway, I find that Kyungsoo is good for Chowon, he makes Chowon want to become better rather than remain stagnant and unhappy in his life.

Is fucked lmao as he deserves

I knew it, he definitely would find out.

IMHO, Chowon has his own issues to deal with (this is very obvious) and should seek some sort of help regarding those since it affects the relationships he has, and how he treats other. Regardless, it doesn’t excuse what he did in the past; his actions were horrible and hurtful to so many people. That being said, we should condemn the action, not the person. I’m still waiting for some character development for Chowon which I know Kyungsoo will definitely help with.

At the end of the day, each person should have the chance to better themselves... how else can someone change if never given the chance to do so?

Personally I still dislike Chowon but the fact of the matter is, even someone like him deserves his shot at being genuinely happy, and maybe this is how he can truly face the depth of his past behavior and move beyond it.
