Realistically speaking I think it would take a lot more drawn out chapters to really follow the book to the letter, which the manhwa artist/studio might not afford, and the decision could have been made to deviate in order to keep up with that (and let's be real, the art really well done that it must be physically taxing to keep going for too long).
With the book I felt the delayed gratification of Riize's downfall where without the author's power the world around her slowly crumbled, whereas here we're seeing a more active effort of the world (and people like the Duke and Duchess) to unmask Riize's machinations and manipulations for what they are. I like that the Duke and Duchess are especially hard on Cliff and Riize for the damage they've dealt.
Yes fully agree. I remember feeling so frustrated with the lack of action from the duke and duchess and Clit and lice getting off with what felt like a slap on the wrist while our girl kept suffering. I love seeing the proactive approach and clits realization (at least the little bit he showed here.)
Honestly I'm glad that our MC is stepping up to take charge of her own life and act independently. While she says she is simply keeping the dukedom safe until her brother returns, I think she by far deserves to be their leader.
His priorities clearly don't include her as someone on top of the list.
Maybe I'll be proven wrong later and I'll gladly take that but for now her brother is utterly absent and doesn't seem to put family as priority at all.
It's such a good plot twist that it wasn't actually the real Rania being such a massive c*nt to our MC, but the reality is so sad. They would've been good sisters.
