It's bemusing how Platinum was like "Don't Tell me I'm not curious" some chapters ago in the meeting of truths with the principle of letting experience speak for itself but he's already harboring the presumption of Obsidian's supposed identity anyways. And now at a hint of incertitude presenting in the form of Amber was all it took to make him inquisitive. Notwithstanding what is it the question he's gonna ask next chapter, I find simply the flip of switch amusing still. That aside, all this masquerading for Marianne isn't letting me root for anyone's sails but the Moon Owl. Seeing how I hear him to be very likely, I really hope that is indeed the case.
This development is honestly far more dynamic and interesting to me than simply a vindictive one-track mind. The arc was well alright. It can get stale if MC's personality only ever values revenge. To not have a life outside of revenge, that's miserable and boringly predictable. Furthermore, It's not as if he gave up on revenge altogether either as that remains his desire, just among a newfound one. It's the affirmation of Vikir's being now truly moving by his own volition rather than an affliction of influence, that's worth of appreciation. The story's not ending anytime soon, why fixate so hard and expect revenge then and there?
I was wondering why Hyo-un would become the dragon spirit of wealth to the Yoo family which is related to past Taehyuk's bloodline when looking at it right now, I don't think Hyo-un would bear any goodwill towards the imperial family, no way it could be favor for the king's descendants. Certainly not when past Taehyuk would die somehow later because of what's happening. Hyo-un doesn't seem to be the type to care of anything else beyond that point then. How close are things about to go down now?
Seems also unlikely that it's to expect for the reincarnation in the family when they do not think it farfetched that the reincarnation will be not in the family. And then it came to me, maybe it's because it's his younger sister Taehee's descendants rather who's on good terms with Taehyuk. The fact that modern Taehyuk also has a younger sister and an older hyung that looks exactly the same as the past king like Taehyuk has some thought-provoking implications.
Hyo-un's illness was likely he couldn't impart the orb after making it and had to bear its burden alone all this time as per the deer's warning taking its full course. If so, no eternity for Taehyuk back then so now I'm wondering what's the basis for the reincarnation to happen. Not when also his hyung look exactly the same. I'm just making my head needlessly hurt with this aren't I...
Those are my thoughts too. It’s just what makes most sense.
You have the good point. There're lots of questions to relate past and present.
