Maybe I'm being biased hut this feels lack luster because we didn't see much of the chasing arc, like if we actually saw the ml taking on the case to be with the mc, him recognizing where he went wrong, even when he found him and decided to still keep away to respect the mc wishes it would've felt more satisfying. Im also realizing the mc didnt run away because he hated the ml he ran away because he didn't want the life of a bird in a cage, which in so fucking obvious the mc still loved the ml even as he ran away and only came back once he saw all the changes the ml did to get him back even learning how to love.
