I Became the Daughter-In-Law of the Villain Because I'm Terminally Ill!
Another mediocre and typical cliche isekai story. The pacing was fucked up from the beginning. The female lead reincarnates into a novel and is immediately ‘rescued’ by this dumb duke that’s her future father in-law. There’s no in-depth context, the reader immediately jumps into the story. The title says that the female lead becomes the daughter of a villain. But he doesn’t seem so villain-like at all, he’s bland as heck. I expected more evilness from him. The male lead left a bad impression on me within 2 seconds of his appearance. He’s the dumb emotionless type that suddenly cares for some random ass girl. Can we get a male lead that doesn’t have black hair and red eyes, please? He’s not even shocked after hearing that he’s married. Was he born without a personality? The female lead is really, really annoying. She treats everything as if it’s a joke and brushes off her illness like it’s nothing. It says that she’s terminally-ill with lung disease but she only coughs up blood. It almost seems as if the illness has no effect on her despite her coughing up blood every now and then. It doesn’t make any sense. “Women get pregnant after holdings hands with their lover in bed.” Wow, I think the author is delusional. Plot is basically nonexistent. It’s shit.
I Stan the Prince
The FL is obnoxiously carefree. There is a thin line between carefree and clueless. She’s delusional beyond all ends, to the point of risking her life. The plot and story don’t hold together. The ML is overpowered, can’t we have a scene of him losing a fight at least? The crown princess is supposed to be a powerful character with a high standing but apparently her and FL are just completely in love with the ML. I don’t completely hate it though, the art is nice and this does have potential to save itself from previously mentioned issues. I hope the FL will have good character development and the plot will get better.
Update: Nevermind. There’s no hope. The FL didn’t pass elementary school and has absolutely zero comprehension skills. This story has become really, really dislikeable.
It Was All You
A good but oddly flawed story? Slight spoilers in this comment. Read this manwha on Webtoon.
The plot seems so good but there is just so much going on at the same time, and at times that isn’t a good thing. There are plot twists and nerve-racking cliff hangers at every corner of this story. Somehow, it still doesn’t interest me that much. It’s not shocking like “Woah! What the heck was that?!” It’s more like “Wooow! Ok.” From the beginning, I knew that something was odd when I saw that everyone was out to get Yuri. During the arc where Yuri attempted to kill her ex, I thought it was a load of horseshit. And during Victor’s time with Yuri, he defied several “A.I laws” so that made me suspicious if he was a human or not. So if you really think hard about it, the plot twist was a little predictable. I LOVE Heo Yoojin’s character, finally a true villain whose evil without some sort of tragic backstory behind their actions! I hope she shocks me even more with her antics. Victor and Yuri’s relationship is quite.. meh. I know that they have been through a lot together, but due to the fact that he was introduced as an A.I, I can’t feel the deep connection between them. The art is quite bland and sometimes the characters seem expressionless. It also lacks details and depth but it’s passable.
Southern Bird and Northern Bird
Really adorable concept. The wholesomeness makes me forget that there is world-hunger and impending doom upon human-kind.
Mercenary Enrollment
I really liked the arc where the MC cared about his sister and protected her from bullying, but as I read, I realized how repetitive the story was. The MC is overpowered in strength and intelligence, he wins every fight. I just wanna see him lose a fight or lose someone important to him. I wanna see the MC being helpless for once. I hope there will be something like that. Well, it’s fun to see Ijin beat ass while looking cool but sometimes I question how it’s physically possible. At times I see that his opponents are far buffer and taller than him, yet he still defeats them with ease. How? Strategy? Strength? During recent chapters, he broke his fingers and his ribs but still managed to fight and take out several people. For Jinwoo (in Solo Leveling), I understood that he had infinite amount of strength and no limits. But I don’t understand how Ijin was standing during that fight! A car also hit him before that. I guess he’s just that good at fighting.Ch 74
How to Hide the Emperor’s Child
Gosh. The male lead’s personality is beyond horrible, it makes me want to drop this story every time he opens his mouth. The story is extremely lacking in terms of plot. The female lead is strong and just wants to live a normal life with her child but all of a sudden, the male lead comes along and fucks all of that up. I highly doubt that he’ll ever be able to redeem himself. This story is so shit.
It's No Use Hanging On
The Hero is Standing in my Way
Really boring isekai manwha. The female lead is really bland and stupid. The male lead is really dumb and stubborn. The art is passable but the female lead’s appearance looks so generic, like she’s a Disney princess. Storyline is boring as shit. I don’t know why I expected something better.
