I honestly don't get the hate. I actually enjoyed this story. Glad that the even though seme was trashy for the most part, he got a good redemption arc. And uke was actually a really strong character. It was a very slow burn story for me but now I wonder what next.
I agree, the redemption arc has a satisfying amount of groveling and admitting faults and sorrys.
I usually am strongly for leaving pos character and forgetting about them but in this story I've felt ok
Like everyone else has said, this was a flimsy ending. Even though it was the same ol’ story of mean and toxic seme with sweet and firm uke, it had so far been one of the few story to stand out on its own and had a good pacing. But the way they reconcile should have been paced better because that was crucial to the ending. I still hope there’s a story out there that can do justice to BL manhwa.

And I know that I have some many torches stories I need to catch up on my lists but I really want to reread this one. That last time I had a story engulf me the way Dear Door was Cherry Blossom After Winter and Pear Boy.
They were my Sunny story that I could come to after toxic reading. But I can’t wait for next season! I hope the surgery gets a good rest and is healthy for next time. I love them so much!!!

I’m actually very happy how this ended, very bittersweet. As someone who saw their parents marriage almost fall apart, I can say that I was happy (and I’ll admit, frustrated at times) but also was able to understand where each character was coming from. Not everyone makes good choices but you choose to either try to fix and mend or give up completely.
So excited for the anime but I hope they don’t ruin it. Lately the mangas I’ve read haven’t been well adapted (in my opinion) and it has to do with the pacing. Like why are they rushing it and just not letting flow like in the manga. They have reference material!
But anyway I’m happy for my main couple (I CANT WAIT FOR THE WEDDING!) and side couple (we’ve finally gotten somewhere). It’s been such a feel good well written story and I hope we get a satisfying ending. Again, I CANT WAIT FOR THE WEDDING!
