all these people coming from tiktok and bashing this story need to take a second to actually analyze the story instead of just crying about the imagery. its MEANT to be disturbing. its MEANT to be disgusting. what the hell were you expecting??
the character is a narcissist and unreliable narrator, but at the same time, he's so jarringly aware. it's beautiful when he's distorted himself into this emotionless vessel just to realize he was being guided by his own irrationality. his ego and nihilism was his downfall, becoming the ugliest part of the society he claimed to hate.
