I mean there is a difference between reading a psychological story, where you know going in to expect terrible cruel characters, and reading a wholesome romance where a character starts acting a bit cruelly in the side chapters. Like while I don't mind this development, just think it could've been done way better, it's not strange to dislike it. You can read and enjoy all of killing stalking or whatever and the be upset when the main character rapes the other in roses and champagne, after sixty chapters of mutual romance. Not saying that's the same situation, but different stories, different genres, different standards.
