Honestly, I think he has some kind of mental issues or something, when he was little he couldn't feel pain or probably even some emotions, but somehow felt something when he saw mo's crying face when they were little, and without understanding what he was feeling he resorted to abuse to satisfy his curiosity(?) and obsession, because dude was obsessed.
At this point I feel pity for him, but it's beyond the point of redemption. I don't want to be ever near the group again, nor for them to forgive and accept them. She Li deserves to find a new found family, but not in Mo's group. He deserves therapy, but away from Mo.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FCK! If they kept the original dialog -- them still calling each other by their last names -- the chapter where Azusa says Asahi's first name during sex would have made way more impact!! And Asahi's strong reaction wouldve made more sense! Oh my god I feel robbed of the experience
oh yes regarding that, since I didn't reread the entire raw chapters and only compare the last, 6th chapter to make sure whether they call each other by their last name or first name in the extra chapter
I took a look at the 5th chapter and it turned out Azusa calls Asahi by his first name which made him to go into feral mode, so thats about it, as for the other time its safe to say that they call each other by their family name generally like the example page I put by the end
No one would have known about this if you didn't say it in the latest update except the ones who knows how to read the raws, so I'm thankful for the honesty. I've been reading mangas and watching animes for a long time now so I know about the importance they give about calling each other by their first name, and the intimacy behind it. So I kinda feel bummed out that the impact of Azusa calling out to Asahi/Unozawa by his first name was missing or sacrificed in favor of complete conversion of Japanese to English, even Japanese naming conventions.
I was so confused tbh and I realized it was a translation mishap but what shocked me after that is that... THAT WAS AN OFFICIAL TRANSLATION??!?! they messed up big time
I also guessed that maybe Azusa called Asahi by his first name for the first time but I was like: what's his surname then? Till then all the dialogues used their first name
