i don’t know, it felt like they tried to compensate Masumi’s suffering after breaking up with Ritsu with just a year but even that was spend productively while Masumi’s life went totally downhill. while I hate how ex cheated and got caught having sex with a woman in their own home, I genuinely thought that the ex really tried to give reciprocate MC’s love but there were just things you cannot force so they ended up holding back and avoided communication knowing fully well what’s happening inside their relationship. just like what the MC said, they both know, they tried so hard not to notice until one of them breaks, they were too scared of losing each other, the MC probably felt betrayed that not only his boyfriend, but his supposed to be bestfriend too, sorted to cheating.
