So girls who got sold into slavery through no fault of there own will get raped if they are 'disobedient'. I'm so glad that this fantasy trope was established as canon for us readers. I'm also so glad the the main character stuck to his guns about not letting his OPness go to his head and we didn't even get a thought bubble of him thinking about how incredibly disgusting this practice is. It really lets me as a reader relate to him, because I too feel that these girls should sacrifice their basic rights as a human so that the world is not thrown into chaos because of a sudden slavery ban. I'm also SO GLAD that the current bad guys are the ones who think that slavery should be outlawed, even if they are going about it the wrong way.
