I thought the king's outrageous behavior was cause he was brainwashed. But turns out that he actually is a asshole. And stupid to boot. Guess that explains why no one was surprised when he bitch-slapped his daughter for suggesting he not start a formal gathering by screaming insults at the guest of honour.
I feel like the reason people here are so supportive of Minato is because despite him having a huge and incredibly toxic flaw he trys his best to overcome it. He is self-aware that he has a jealousy problem and does his best to not let it consume him. He's not perfect, but he's on the right path and he's doing his best.
Shizuma, on the other hand, still thinks his biggest issue is that he works long hours. The cafe scene is a perfect example. Shizuma is sitting there feeling like shit for trying to think of a lame excuse for being late, yet it never even crossed his mind that the actual issue is that he's unable to tell his boss he'd really rather get back to the clinic than watch them shove donuts down their pie-hole. Shizuma's trying his best, but he needs to figure out that his people pleasing is what's causing issues and start working on it. Until that happens it'll continue to be the biggest source of friction in the relationship.
I honestly think both are the same, Minato and Shizuma, they BOTH try their best to understand the other but their fears keep them from communicating, I kind of get Shizuma too, when you are in that line of work you need to socialize a lot and end up working extra and dragged along with co workers, same with the director, they both don't know they are doing something to piss off Minato because they genuinely aren't doing anything, I mean the director lets Shizuma go easily, and Shizuma too if he tells them "hey I have to go" they let him go, is simple.
Minato is doing his best but he really REALLY needs to change too, just as much as Shizuma if they want their relationship to work. They literally aknowledge that in the last chapter.
Being a veterinarian especially if you’re an intern doesn’t mean you NEED to socialize a lot. I personally don’t make friends at work, just arms length. If you meant communicating when needed related to work, yes I agree so much.
They aren’t doing anything sure but the boss is quite disrespectful and insulting their relationship. And Shizuma did call him out for that but he’s too forgiving. I personally wouldn’t go shopping for MY date with someone else especially a stranger (boss).
And he spent half a day at the cafe with the boss, Shizuma had made plans beforehand but he had to delay it cause of the boss and him being unable to say no.
Minato acknowledges his own issues but Shizuma isn’t helping by taking it lightly.
He’s in the wrong because he’s insecure, but he didn’t do anything as annoying as Shizuma from what I remember. How would you feel if your partner took your insecurities lightly and called it cute? And if you found out about your partner saying your social skills suck ass compared to the boss? When Shizuma could’ve just not said those things and focused on his work, it would’ve been fine. I just don’t get why Shizuma feels the need to say those things, so I just see him as a people pleaser.
The boss annoys me the most. Minato annoys me with his childish antics but he is self aware and expressed himself finally. Finally he expressed himself and his partner is all smiley about it. Minato also asked why Shizuma couldn’t have just taken the taxi but I don’t know what Shizuma answered, so if you know tell me!
I heard that he just ignored that question. Minato is definitely insecure and will def work on it. But his partner should also be there to reassure him. Shizuma has always been a green flag but some of his words can be quite shallow and unnecessary compared to Minato’s serious apologies and taking time to think.
Not all vets are the same, at least the vets I know are similar to Shizuma, you need to remember Shizuma is in the friendly personality department, not in the anti social, arm lenght department like you and me, and people like that acts just like him, a bunch of my friends are like that, but they have more laid back lovers, Minato just have a big issue.
Being friendly doesn’t mean letting others easily take advantage of you. This is a sad situation for both.
There is no departments in vet that are labeled for personality, it all varies. Shizuma just didn’t need to say unnecessary stuff and he could’ve been polite without the need to involve his personal life.
I can't hate Vercion. He makes the best faces. The look on his face after that kiss ... so fucking funny.
