I also like how involving Heesung does not really feel like the usual love triangle(?) cause unlike most 2nd leads who are emotionally obsessed with the MC, Heesung still feels like he's only in the "interested" stage that can be saved (but its only been 2 chapters maybe I'm delulu but I want it to become trululu)

I guess someone else ended up using the cassette recorder to save

The MC was trying to get to the cassette recorder without making Doha notice its importance, he was talking about how it's a save point (it's usual for these kinds of games to have a save point so that the player doesn't lose much progress)
Doha did notice it tho you can see how he looks back at the recorder and while the MC got killed Doha wasn't shown so he probably "saved" as well, that's why he probably still has his memories in the new game

I like this new twist in this, it's not much but having a hardworking ML instead of the Genius is already so good (i prefer it, it's hot) and can't really blame him for being "childish" at first - his lifegoal he was working all his life for just got taken from him & he said he needed a break so having a secretary he didnt want thrown his way for more work....
And it's not the Female Leads fault either, it's her job that she clearly didnt want but what is she supposed to do? Resign?
Looking forward to more chapters
