This has a live action movie that came out late June 2020 in theaters. An english sub version won't come out until they release the movie digitally as a DVD or on subscription websites like Netflix (these can be ripped from whereas you can't really record the screen at the cinema). For people looking for the Given movie, the same applies.

Here are the links to the movie's website and their twitter for more updates:
https://restart-movie.com/
https://twitter.com/restart_movie

In the case for Restart, the pinned tweet says DVD and Blu-ray rentals will start January 29th 2021. Someone might upload it on the internet who knows, but don't expect finding it any time before that. I'm going to post something under Given with more information on that movie. [This comment will be copied onto the comments so please give it a like so that it'll show up on the main page for others looking for this information]

The adults in the child's life (most likely their parents) should always ask or include the child in the decisions that GREATLY affect their child's life. For example, divorce, pregnancy, new home, vacation/travels, etc. These transition in the child's life are huge transitions that can cause them stress. Even when going to grade 2 from grade 1 is stressful. (New teacher, new classmates new desk, new stuff, etc).
So, having a new mom is never Tora's business since FIRST OF ALL he's almost never there to be with her anyways. He's just marrying her to leave him with someone. So, please understand why he's not willing to move on from his mom. He was never given the choice to move on. It was like Tora just dropped a bomb where he gave him 5 seconds to run so that he can still have his organs intact but die from the blast or die holding the bomb. Either way in the end he dies. No option that satisfies Shiro. He should've mentioned that work changed and he needs to do more work, which means he can't bring Shiro with him anymore. Then give Shiro time to take that in and comprehend that and make him understand that there is no option for him to stay with dad. Next, mention his interest with school. Oh! You want to go to school?? Maybe you can go to the same school as your cousin's! Great, now Shiro is excited. Then mention the situation with Tora's sister. That he can't leave him to his sister cause she's having another baby. So another conversation where you talk about his options. Shiro, I can't leave you with anybody. I was thinking of marrying again so there's someone watching over you. Would you like that Shiro? Reassure him the truth, that you still love his mom but for the situation you both need a new mom to support you and Shiro. But this doesn't mean it perfect. But at least the child didn't meet his potential mom blindly. Respect Shiro's feelings. He just got over his mom's death and maybe still moving on. He's capable of understanding and comprehending his surroundings. Just cause he's a child doesn't mean he's dumb.

Rereading this, and putting the unique concept of nail polish aside, I realized how this manga has one of the most considerate, mature and honest semes out there. His first request was to “hold his hand”!!! he constantly asks him if he’s ok before doing anything and he’s super honest about his feelings and thoughts! This is underrated I hope more people read this and appreciate how lovely their connection is.

I hope people will read this. There are some things that I think should be told to some people here. I'm someone who has worked on a couple manga and mahwa translations mostly as a cleaner and I already have some experience with that. In groups it's not uncommon for people to quit or leave the translation group and that has always happened, but this year it has been getting worse. Why? Because of the constant harassment many have gotten. This is same for the uploaders who just upload stories for us to read here. Now why are these people getting harrased? Well, for me it has been for working on stories that have some kinds of rape or abusive scenes. I understand why people dont like this and why they make others uncomfortable, but please understand that the translator have NOT made the story. They're just translating it for us to read here fro FREE. same for those who upload the stories. They do it so we can read the stories. I know i can't just say read the tags since that doesn't always work, but please DON'T GO PM THE TRANSLATORS WHO WORKED HARD ON THE STORY TO GO OFF THEM SELFS. I think this should be easy to understand. If you really have to say something say it in the mangas comments. It's not really fun to get messages from anonymous people telling me that i "promote rape culture" and "I should just die". I did not write the stories. I work for free. I just clean, redraw and (someyimes) translate. Dont go harass the translators. If they quit we can't continue translating.
Other thing si getting messages about how fast a story is getting translated. This I won't get too deep into. Ask if the story has a certain upload day. If it doesn't don't whine to the people working on it. Ones again. They do it for free. They might not have the time to work daily.
Please just act a little kinder. I know mangago has been getting a lot more users these day and I know the harassment will only get worse, but if you think your doing something good by telling others to kill themselves you aren't.
Thank you for reading.

...I think like 90% of the people commenting on this story have NOOOOO idea how this time period worked.
Laruent had every right to be concerned about their positions. One false move and they both could have lost everything (society was pretty damn harsh back then, guys)... and before you say "Oh but Arthur did lose everything" no he did not. He resigned his position with grace and was therefore able to seek and acquire employment - had he been stripped of his title and belongings due to a scandal, he wouldn't have even been able to have that much.

Of the two, Arthur was actually the most naieve. Laurent loved him, but would never selfishly ask Arthur to give up all of the blessings he was born with (status, wealth, home, family, friends etc) just so they might enjoy a love affair (and because he didn't feel worthy of him). He wanted Arthur to have those things so he settled on a platonic relationship instead. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

I do think that Laurent should have explained this better to Arthur; the two had very poor communication... but I also think that had he done so, he would have never let Arthur throw everything away for him. I'm sure even at the end he had some conflicting feelings about it.

Lest we forget the plight of Oscar Wilde who, while always rumored to be a homosexual, was ruined, bankrupted and exiled because he was found guilty of sodomy and indecency in a court of law (because that was a thing you could do; sue someone over buttsex). He lived three years in poverty and exile after that.

This manga is LITERALLY the best case scenario. Especially if they have open-minded employers. So don't hate on Laurent. He was doing his best to protect the one he loves most, and while Arthur was desperate and straight forward with his feelings, he should have thought things through more carefully... which he did at the end. So everything worked out. I love them both. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

What happened to the wolf village after Hakuyou left?
I like to think the village got hit with a lot of bad stuff, because Hakuyou was meant to be some sort sacred guardian for the village. But they made him leave, so now they're fxxcked.

that story "what is your secret" remained a secret til the end. But somehow I got the impression that Ryouji didn't really forget that 3 years. When it showed the part where the stalker approached him, he looked interested/curious by the fact that a guy liked him, replying "really..". He even dodged the question whether he likes guys from the start. He isn't innocent, even saying that that cafe isn't somewhere people usually wander to.

I think he had a relationship with that guy (an abusive one), actually, because how did they end up with his stalker's photo? who took him to the hospital? also, if you look at the cover of chapter 5 (the unknown hand doing the camera sign at Ryouji; only the stalker like to take photos). And then the breakup text saying "I can't do this anymore." It makes me think that he was feeling honestly guilty. I think he was in a relationship with the stalker but since he really liked Motoki, he felt guilty for deceiving him and decided to end the relationship. I think he also broke the relationship with the other guy after some time but it turned ugly, thus resulting to the accident. He cannot predict his friend's actions tho, and acted like he didn't remember anything from that 3 years because he felt disgusted with himself.

Or maybe Ryouji was just really abused, kept captive and traumatized and had become suicidal at one point, feeling disgusted with himself. Afraid for his life, running away to keep Motoki and his friend away from danger. Knowing this, Tsuyoshi wanted Ryouji to be happy again and bugged Motoki to "fix things".

So... i commented here earlier before asking what is happening when nobody was still completely explaining what's wrong but now i came back and probably read like 8 pages of the comments section so now i completely understand what is happening. So what i learned is first of all zandy (the original translators) were in charge of this manhwa but their updates were "slow" so the other ungrateful people complained that its "slow" and talked shit about zandy here in the comments sections, which is fucking rude af may i add. But as you can see zandy was trying their best, they even provided us with uncensored chapters for us horny bitches but of course some hoes still mad that its "slow" so zandy got pissed and they suddenly only provided us with censored versions only, that should be the first sign for some of y'all that talked shit about them to start respecting them and appreciate what they provide but of course some hoes is still mad and attacked zandy again for being "slow" and of course it offended them even more because they are literally providing free high quality content but they are still dissed by immature horny tweens here for updating "slow" and that caused the other translator and the current translator to come here and provide wrong translations. Just so y'all know that some of the other manhwas with fast updates are just screenshoted from lezhin, tapas and etc that are already translated in english, meanwhile blood link doesn't exist in any of those platforms so they are actually translating it in english unlike the others who are only screenshoting it and then posting it here. Second is nobody is hating on the current translator, but you can't be called a translator if you provide wrong translations. Wrong translations can ruin a story for those readers who are actually reading the story and aren't here just for the butt sex, this manhwa has a really high rating with lots of votes as you can see, which means a whole lot of people are reading this which makes it understandable that a lot will complain if the story they like is suddenly translated wrongly. For me personally, i respect every translator but i rather have quality over quantity especially if what I'm reading is a story that i am invested in, no one wants to read wrong translations if they really love a story.

This was extremely sad ╥﹏╥

Based on Hitorita's narration, his stepfather deeply loved Hitorita's mother. It is implied his mom and stepfather practiced the BDSM type of Master/Slave lifestyle and made their living performing BDSM Shibari (Japanese art of knot tying). We can also infer this practice was illegal and their performances were conducted underground.

His mom's death had a devastating impact on the stepfather and the stepfather projected his need to "take care of" from the mother to the son. In the beginning, the dependence of the stepfather towards Hitorita is innocuous, albeit obsessive, but it takes a turn towards the sexually depraved when Hitorita tells him he's planning to move out upon graduating high school. Faced with the possibility of losing his only connection to his dead lover, (or family) the stepfather proceeds to sexually abuse Hitorita in order to bind him to his will. The stepfather's obsession further spirals becoming more depraved, possessive and obsessive.

However, the stepfather's illicit BDSM show was reported to the authorities and he and his associates had to run away. At that point, the stepfather somehow grows a conscience and instead of dragging Hitorita with him as a fugitive of the law, he decides to free Hitorita and abandons him instead.

We can infer that Hitorita's first autonomous action was to keep the Tattoo. His first conscious decision was to keep the tattoo he had initialy found shameful as a tribute to the stepfather that loved his mother, the man that lovingly took care of the two of them while she had been alive. As Hitorita stated at the beginning of the story, his stepfather was (inherently) a kind man and probably would have continued to be kind and loving if he hadn't been warped by grief.

This prequel offers insight into Hitorita's behavior in the sequel "Chou to Hana no Kankeisei". Hitorita grows up to be a dominant/assertive lover; never again a victim. Hitorita was also deeply affected by his stepfather's obsession in turning Hitorita into a submissive "female". This is why in "Chou to Hana no Kankeisei" the uke makes an immediate impact when he tells Hitorita that he finds Hitorita very masculine. That impression of being seen as manly is balsam to Hitorita's traumatic childhood, to his self-image as a man.

This is an excellent yaoi story. The type I classify as transcending the genre. I LOVED IT.
