I don’t know why I can still enjoy works that have rape involved in them but I do. If you’re a rapist you’re a rapist: being influenced by works of fiction to become a rapist just means you were. i agree in a way but they meant that rape shouldn’t be included in stories for development lol, unless it’s part of a sensitive topic that connects to a characters background yk. they just meant that this story is literally romanticizing it and that it’s easy to “forgive” your rapist. i agree in ways that it can soothe trauma to read about similar situations but no one should like useless rape for no reason in stories like this. Rape shouldn’t be used as a trope and it’s a common trope among bl manga/manhwa, it’s disgusting and can invalidate rape victims trauma and the true depression and weight that comes with it ( coming from someone who has experienced it) — i hope you catch my drift on what i meant with this
