The ending sucks. I am so fucking disappointed. But i expected certain things and i didn't get them so it's very personal... Well, mental struggles and all that stuff is easy to fuck up. And it's no different here. The ending just popped like "ugh, it's getting nice, time for sudden change of mind and making good guy crazy too". The epilogue is absurd. I enjoyed this comic really long and liked the story but i was almost at the end and nothing was resolving so i expected some weird shit at the end but what i got was just bullshit. It was such a good comic. And then it all went to trash. Eh... I guesa i will just enjoy remembering the good part of it and ignore the fact it ended in such crappy way.
For anyone who read this comment:
I don't need you telling me "it was good!" "you're just stupid/immature/simple-minded!" bc this is my opinion and i won't change it now, this comic really ended stupidly for me. If you liked it, then good for you, I'm glad you got to enjoy yourselfes. But i didn't. And you telling me I'm wrong won't change that.
Summing up, it was good but even the best can be ruined in the end.
i'm not here to tell you any of the things you mentioned, i'm just really curious why do u hate the ending that much. for me it actually made sense a lot, so i would really like to know what is your opinion based on. really, it's just curiosity, so please don't be offended
The main characters change of mind was way too sudden. I didn't really notice him enjoying his time with his ex. I didn't really notice any Stockholm syndrome going on for him. The ending is extremely rushed and the guys way to solve the problem was absolutely ridiculous. I can see him thinking that the main character was broken beyond repair and decide to kill him. But again, it was all sudden and unexpected (unexpected usually means something good. But here it gave me the feeling that author just wanted things to be unconventional and forcefully made the good guy bad). If he decided to actually pull it off "kill yourself or I'll kill him" that means he's got mental problems too. And that's way too many characters to be mental in one manga.
Even earlier, their actions weren't exactly explained. If the main character decided to spend so much time with the good guy and not contact the ex i expected that he really wants to leave him. But he wants to come back for basicly no reason. The thing here is that if someone wants the character to be bothered by something, it's good idea to show it. But there was nothing of the sort. (If there was,i didn't notice.)
I can't see why he didn't just run away or went to the police. (Sorry, it is a while since i read it, maybe it was explained).
To sum it all up i don't like the fact he was still in love with his ex. I feel like i didn't get enough explanation for that and it was just sudden change of mind. The whole"we got 3 chapters left guyz gotta solve this quickly" made it feel like someone was trying to kick you out of the restaurant because they're closing in few minutes. There are few more things i don't like but i am not sure how to explain it. (English not native language) + i feel like they are the things that are different for everyone and me telling how it is for me is useless.
Thanks for making sure your comment wasn't "attacking". Sorry if i didn't put my thoughts into words properly. If you really want to know more we can try private conversation.
I read up to chapt. 4. I M so fucking angry right now. I've never seen anythin like this before. No manga has ever managed to compile so many things i hate.
1. Seme is fucking disgusting feelingless pretty boy who doesn't care for anything
2. Seme and his gay friends are fucking tricking uke and playing with his traumas for literally nothing, who the fuck asks someone to harras sexually a guy so they can suggest "heyyy, if u don't want him to fuck u then i can do it, which do you prefer?"
3. Making trauma a funny thing. Why the fuck are you making noncrack manga in which you use the fact that main character has serious issues and use them as a comic relief and sooo funny, cause you know, he will be fucked in the end, who cares about his PTSD
4. This is personal issue and doesn't matter to other people since some like it, but introducing a side character in the middle of the story as another cocky dick that basically lies to his employee to help his friend fuck him... I don't like when side characters have a big role in general but this is seriously annoying.
5. Just... Just... Every character that says more than 7 sentences has made me hate them immediately (except main character). I am like, waiting for seme to fall in love or something but it seems he will stay a fucking bitch till the end.
I'll try reading 4th chapter, but so far it's been so fucking annoying! I hoped there will happen something interesting but it seems it's goonna be only a courting the uke to sleep with seme. Uke will obviously fall in love and seme is gonna be a piece of shit til the end. So damn annoying.
You just summed up my thoughts exactly. I thought something would happen in Chapter 6, that's why I was trying to keep up with Hachidori, but no. Like seriously. I can't think of him actually falling in love with Amami. That poor boy.
At least is unusual, not all stories are about love and have a happy ending, is the same in real life, shit happens everyone meets a motherfucker once in a while, fall in love and etc then get a broken heart... i like that this is involving dragqueens ( which you normally don't see in yaoi/ shounen ai / bl in general) and they never tried to hide the seme's true identity, is basically about this playboy trying to get the ukes ass but with a plot that doesn't go straight to the sex scene, not for everyone maybe you should read shounen ai only since is more soft
I don't think you get what i mean. I understand perfectly that there can be all kinds of situations in life. But
1. I prefer reading manga for fun and i want to enjoy myself. Not get angry.
2. Situation described in this manga is really far-fetched. If there were other things to like about it i would overlook this, but it just adds to my annoyance.
3. Even if i want to read manga that is not about true love and it's full of controversial themes, it shouldn't make me hate every single character there is.
And about which should i read- shounen ai or yaoi, i read both. I don't read every single manga there is, i read descriptions to decide wheter i want to read it or not. Here i pretty much got tricked.
Last thing. My review, if it isn't clarified there enough, is fully my opinion. You can agree and you can disagree no problem.
Sorry if my response sounds a bit aggressive, it wasn't my intention.
Call me dumb or whatev. I liked the mermaid one and beauty and the beast had nice motive. I don't know the originals of the last two so i skipped the last one. It wasn't really amazing and wonderful but it sure was creative. Art style was weird at least, but not ugly. That kind of stories aren't my thing but i don't regret reading them.
