I would have the same reaction as JK even if it was about someone I met an hour ago, it doesn't say anything about his feelings ╮(￣▽￣)╭
That being said, Dan is kinda no more hopeful as a character, doesn't seem like he wants to change, looks like he's given up on himself and his life 99%. You can't help someone when they don't want to get better themselves
