○ Emperor imposed an absolute order (i forgot what it's called) that forbid Grandpa Lombardi from stepping foot on the empire's capital and imperial palace ○ Grandpa Lombardi responded by pulling out all of Lombardi (the lombardi top, bank, and all of businesses handled by the vassals) which turned the economy in shambles ○ the citizens were unsatisfied with the emperor ○ Tia helped Larane to elope with Avinox to the East (by cruise) with Grandpa's blessings and the twins & perez' help ○ Jovaness was pressured by the citizens' protests but the Empress told him that they could pass a law about the first born son being the heir of a house and Rulac can't oppose bc he's banned from entering the capital: • which in turn will make Vietse the next patriarch of Lombardi which will greatly benefit the emperor (he can have the lombardi neath dureli) • real motive: Empress can ensure Astana's spot as the crown prince ○ In the end, Rulac was able to attend the meeting and oppose the law bc Tia and Perez entered a contractual engagement that satisfied the emperor to have a Lombardi engaged with a Dureli: • Jovaness can still have Lombardi under him through union of tia and perez • he will not be forced to name Astana as his heir
