I've been crying since Thursday because a conversation triggered and open an old wound. The line "I'm forever the child by that window" made me cry harder cause no matter how I try to rewrite my story regardless of the effort I put in to move forward with my life, I will always be that child in that house of terror. Different context but same feeling of being always haunted by your past.
Although we can't forget our past suffering, we can make sure to try and live happily from now on. I hope that you can let your present self make your choices and that you choose to be happy so that you can look back at who you used to be and promise them that they will heal and they will be happy, even if not in the way they expect it! That's the biggest act of love you can do for yourself!!! <3
