He's not strong enough to face the elder on his own, and that envoy seems really powerful, plus he's from the family that got the short end of the stick in all of this. I'm guessing he's going to notice their desperation to shut the MC up, and he'll save him from them. At least that's the only way I see him coming out of this alive.
The spirits are basically op, the MC is the daughter of the queen of spirits, and the hero who has more power than an army. The MC herself could probably be considered a continent level threat if she uses her power for that. So what are they going to do? What's the threat here? At the end of the day, none of them can even hope to hurt them or force them into anything. It's like if Brussels, the country by itself with no NATO support said: I'm going to face against the USA, and force them into doing shit for me. Funny joke, I know.
In the backstory for the Royal Family, it's shown that the First King somehow managed to bind the Spirit Queen to his will and abused her powers. Which in turn led to the Royal Family being punished. My guess is that the evil king wants to meet Ellen so he can possibly try and bind her to his son. In that way, he controls the Hero and Spirit Queen as Ellen is basically a hostage. It's shown that this world has the ability to bind people together in promises with actual corporeal punishments for people who break them. My guess is even Spirits aren't immune to these rules so if Ellen or the Kings Son are able to meet, they might be bound to each other for life like how the current Spirit Queen is bound to the Hero
Maybe, but even so if the two of them saw that their daughter was tricked or forced into something. What's to say they wouldn't kill the king, and everyone except the prince? Problem solved, the prince is kept alive, but the ones who might try to sway him with words are gone. It's what I said, one way or another, you'd be going to war with the most powerful beings in the world. Unless you can bind them all or something.
Again, because in this world there seems to be some sort of power in these rituals where even Goddess' have to abide by. Look at what happened to Agatha after all. And also like I mentioned, that whole backstory about the first King being able to control the spirits. There's obviously a lot of things going on in this world that differ from most isekai stuff. Then again, this could just be a Slice of Life Isekai with no hidden political or evil shit.
But imo, we wouldn't have a storyline if there wasn't some hidden trick by the main villain of the series. Or hell, the King might not even be evil and we'll eventually find out the true villain later on. Look at how careful the Hero and Goddess are being in protecting their daughter. If there was no risk of shenanigans, than they would have no problem with having Ellen meet the King. But they are being incredibly cautious. The way the author has drawn their features and stuff implies that they know something potentially catastrophic could happen
I'm sure the angel wouldn't be dumb enough to allow anyone to operate the castle or any of its systems. So basically even if you take it from him while he's distracted, it wouldn't do you any good. At least I hope that's the case...I don't want a "twist" where someone sneaks in the control room and they turn the machines against him because the angel was too dumb to make a failsafe.
The knight likes him, and considered marrying him. Yet she doesn't try to get in the way of his current marriage, and respects their love. What kind of manga is this!!? This is blasphemy! Shouldn't they all fawn over him, and do whatever it takes to be with him!?? T-this is beautiful!
I dont think the knight girl is in love with him though?? ( ̄∇ ̄")
I think she was just trying to find ways to get our overpowered mc into her family so they could rise back up to noble status, but yeah i agree it is so refreshing to find female characters who don't just try to attach themselves to the male leads regardless of whether they are in a relationship or not!! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I love it when some flat out tell the MC "I don't care if you love someone else or if you are already married. I will do my best to make you love me too,". Sorry, but that's kind of scummy trying to pressure someone into loving you or feeling guilty that they can't reciprocate. Yeah it works out in manga land, but in the real world that just leads to a lot of stress, and unecessary drama. Also any normal person would hate you for doing that to their loved one.
Oh god, I know what it implies, but once he said "people died when they are killed", I immediately remembered of Shirou, and I burst out laughing.
