I actually agree with this, I feel like just by the way he acts he’s quite lonely. I think that in future chapters it’ll reveal something along the lines of how lonely he was after his friend left, and the happiness he did feel for his friend became that of lust. Idk something like that-
He’s my hero now, he’s so brave trying his best escapes from someone as maniac as the King. My bones don’t have strength to do that, but it brightens my day seeing someone fight for themselves
