Hello. I am a being who exists
somewhere on Earth, though I am from
originally from Mars. Earth is much
warmer than Mars, even during the
winter. I wonder if some day I will melt
. . . I miss the chilly surface of my home
planet, though it had been awfully lonely
there. Earth is so much more crowded, it feels as if I'll suffocate one day. Especially in the big cities, where the air has a
certain heaviness to it and seems to
stick to my throat with each breath I take. How can humans stand it? I doubt I'll
ever get used to it . . .
...
Recently I have discovered a fascinating
human invention called 'comics'. They go
by other names such as 'Manga' and
'Manhua' and 'Manhwa' depending on the country of origin, and they are similar to
books, but mainly utilise illustrations to
direct the story being told alongside
words. I find them quite enjoyable. We
never had anything like this on Mars. Only dirt and dust and rocks that stretched on for miles. The only possibilities for
creation was to do crude drawings in the ground before they were swept away by
the dust storms.
