honestly people find it hard to comprehend there’s nuanced/didferent ways to enjoy media. you can criticize or dislike some details while enjoying other parts. you mention the plot, but there’s also characters, relationships, and potential storylines that people look forward to

you don’t have to completely praise and have unwavering support for media, and it’s questionable that people can only see things as black and white. like look at how the two people down here replied, not answering your question but having hive-mind mentality? however think of it like a song or a show. i can dislike a certain verse or hate when a character does something but it doesn’t mean i hate the media in its entirety. criticism doesnt equal its entertainment value or parts that ARE likable
