I really liked it at first, was enticing...
And then it kind of seemed like the quality of the content dropped. Dropped it at volume 12 when I couldn't stand it. I felt that her entire persona was destroyed when the plot started revolving around who likes who and she became reduced to a basically two timing odd, constantly crying girl. Like the moment she became known as a female, all of the characters changed.
And then some characters feel thrown in just to stir up the pot. The delinquents, the black dreads girl, etc.
I feel cheated out of the characters I invested time in.
I'm just sorely disappointed...a lot of things left undone, so many questions.
Slap on some stuff about love. You have your shitty main mc, the second lead that will never get the girl, the spineless masochistic fem, and poorly constructed side characters. It's like it was on it's way to being an actual solid plot-read but got stuck between a light hearted cute read and an intense, thoroughly thought out deep read. It's not even funny.
I guess it's that my expectations were way off that im feeling even more shitty than usual. Gawd, the fem mc had her good points, but not enough to make me appreciate this. and what's up with the dad thing "play an evil father, emotionally abuse my kids and threaten to refrain helping my kid get surgery but it's ok, I'm actually a good dude"
I wouldn't mind a crap plot if the Characters are worth it. Heck I'd read a fanfic about an mc's ramen cooking time or something. Little plot to that, but the characters drive it.
Lemme give him a hug ><
Can I just say how well these characters are made?
And best boy Kamin??
It's like you can just see him as a person, so used to giving and never receiving. He has his own set up that lets him live comfortably in his world bc of how he grew up. He enjoys interacting with people, but dislikes it when people start mingling in his personal life. Truth right there. Well said.
I thought the situation with the puppy really shows who he is as a person. He loves puppies, he gives so much everyday freely and good heartedly with no complaint or anticipation, but when the dog started trusting so easily and tagging along, he was taken aback. Why did it start acting like that bc of some kind words and actions? Change it's way of living and surviving because of a little help? In a sense, it reminded him of what he would never do (or act like with other people). He's just so used to a life of giving and giving regardless of what HE'S given that the dog starting to change its demeanor sickened him. Disgusted him.
Ahhh I love this.
I understand Shouta's decision. He's not some gold digger. He survives by working hard, he accepts help, yes, but is aware of how far to go and his sweet personality doesn't want to be a burden to others. He's considerate and nurturing.
That said, dammit why.

Yasss i was thinking the same thing! Its like i get where hes coming from but he could totally make it work! When he gets a new job he can pay for food and maybe a bill and obviously clothes for his brother. While he worries about apartment bill and stuff. He could've found a middle ground instead of dippin out of tokyo#

I choked when I read that Luna was 10.

But yeah, this is a pretty unique read, and actually well put together in terms of the romance and such compared to others I've read. Sure there's a lot of same "coming after Nike" plots, but they're all for different reasons and I guess goes to show how much she's pursued. Not just because she's the world's rulers wife, but she has a very powerful power. And if you don't let that, and a whole lot of factors, cloud your mind and make you judgemental, this should be a read for you. I honestly feel refreshed. No cheesy cliches, excessive second hand embarrassment and same scenes in shoujo. Natural. Maybe it's bc of the ages lul(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
