It’s 5 am and I just stayed up reading this in one go. It hurts bro, this actually fucking hurts I’m sobbing my eyes out.
It reminded me of this bl novel I read called “gaze at the scenes of debauchery” by ku cha, and it was about this gay couple who have been together for more than 10 years, but one of them cheats continuously, and the other tries to stay because he invested in this relationship for 10 years. And this donghua and that novel actually hurted, it was like a “what if Lewis (?) stayed in that toxic relationship?” I really recommend it for more pain and suffering

I like stories like this where the issues are pretty much easy to avoid. All they needed in their relationship was more sexual favors and they could’ve avoided divorce- and they also needed communication. I like it but in the back of my mind I keep telling myself “just read for the plot bc the body proportions are so wild idk if I can enjoy the sexual scenes when he’s shaped like a Dorito and got bigger boobs than her”

this is so sweet and adorable I got a fucking cavity from it! that being said- I wanna comment on a few things.
In the first chapter I thought that our ML will have dreads or braids, and I think it would’ve been nice if he had it too
The polygamous relationship- Luca is poly, but they didn’t really brought it up afterwards. Like is there another member that we haven’t seen, or did he completely drop being poly for makoto?
I hope I can see more bl that has a poc lead, and also incorporates the culture and language like this one has done
in ch 97 professor ayumu says to phos, “when you’re on the other side, burn the bridge”, but chapter 103 last page says “will this bridge the gap to the new world”. Maybe the bridge is the past story between humans and their form (ie the story of humans and how they were the origin of the current species)???
Professor ayumu told that to adamant sensei- he most likely didn’t burn the bridge because it is the last thing he has of his mother and his creation origin. He probably went against her wishes of removing humanity from the new world by re-affirming to the gems that they were connected to humans (gems being the bones).
Professor ayumu probably wants phos to stop re-telling the story to the new generation (the pebbles) from getting curious about them, and having another similar situation of phos (being overtly curious about the human species and it’s connection to them). If they burned the idea of “the pebbles came from the humans, pebbles are the remaining semblance of human ‘bones’ like the gems” maybe they won’t seek for any characteristics that reminds them of their origin and could possibly stop a cycle from happening.
but phos chooses to tell the origin story to the pebbles. Is it because phos still has that tiny connection with humans (the phosphophylite brittle shown on 103)?? I feel like it’s going to become a cycle- this do be a very philosophical manga, and I feel like I’m spouting nonsense, imma reread it again
