Romance is really hard to point out I'd say as all so far is rather intimacy on a platonic way and their relationship is rather developing on the site of their mutual trust in each other and dependency. There sure is bickering between them whether or not he has a place in the inner palace or not but that's about it. Especially since she is a bit blind to love.
