OK, I'm assuming he'll lose this match and lose meaning in his life, and then he'll open his eyes and look at Doc Dan differently. Now let's add some species to the plot and imagine something horrific happening in Doc Dan's life, and the grand redemption arc will begin.

I know I read the spoilers too, and it's fucking my mind, but the story is good, imo. The angst and mystery are burning my soul. Well, I like to suffer. Anyway, let's just read it as it is. Because there were so many spoilers last week, I don't know what will happen, and, to be honest, it's a curse.
So I'm assuming "The Memory" is associated with Wacko's life, and he has also written that, and that's his story.
