He was a boy between 14 and 15 yo, already confused about what was happening around him and within himself, and we can assume he already had a poor relationship with his family. This guy comes along and seduces him and gives him what he needs. And yes the aforementioned boy was his brother's boyfriend. But the image he was given of their relationship is the following: on the breaking point, an unmanageable situation where the brother didn't care about the boyfriend and didn't give hime any time of the day. In any case he was wrong. But at that age, with that maturity and that ability to understand situations, assuming that the relationship with his brother was insistent and that a sort of toxic dependence had formed towards Urabe's brother, who had also manipulated him. A little more empathy guys. Really.
I think he paid more than enough for this mistake as at that young age he was also kicked out of his house as well as being made the scapegoat for the whole issue.

These 2 have so much fucking sexual tension and unresolved feelings that it's so fucking satisfying. Like oh my god just let your guard down a little Hyunsoo, you want him to just accept Youngchan's feelings already and yet his insecurities are understandable at the same time. And so they fuck. They fuck because it's easier than for Hyunsoo to accept his insecurities and ofc Youngchan can't resist fucking him to oblivion despite it being painful with not having a proper answer. You as the viewer know they fucking love each other and yet all they can do right now is fuck because humans are frustrating. To me it makes the eventual emotional payoff all the more worth it in the end.

The last volume of the novel revolves around Baek's potential overseas transfer. But my favorite part is this: He visits Seo at his place, hands him a rash guard as a gift (they both made a promise to go surfing some time) and reveals he might have to leave soon. He tells Seo that whether he wants to be lovers or remain as coworkers is up to Seo and that he shouldn't worry about the confession. They part ways. Seo thinks to himself he should've chased after Baek and kissed him that instant but that "it isn't some kind of movie". However he starts to realize his feelings after remembering all of their time together + reading all of Baek's silly text messages and breaks down. As he rushes to the elevator, he runs into Baek, and cries. "The one who makes me cry over stupid messages...the one who makes me irrational. A shameless foe who ruins all my plans. I was mistaken. We are in a cheap movie. Meeting Baek Youngchan is the most wonderful thing I have ever experienced in my life. I had to admit it now. I like him just as much as I want to kill him" he thinks to himself, as he pleads with Baek not to leave, and confesses. They kiss and have what Seo describes as the "most passionate and intimate sex he's had". <3 The next few chapters revolve around their relationship and it's also quite long so I'll leave it at this for now.
