i already ranted abt chiwoo so i just wanna rant abt how beautiful kyujins friends are. Like??? altho NO ONE looks like a highschooler, the story is surprisingly real. They weren’t judgmental, they gave no homophobic remarks, and they just didn’t care that kyujin had a crush on a guy. friends irl, and i mean true homies, would absolutely not give a single fuck who you crushing on, but you bet ur cute ass they will help you find a way to hit it and i just adore that about them and i love the author for that. i just can’t stop gushing over them with this stupid smile on my face so i’ll stop before this gets any longer lol
First of all, chiwoo only sees the sweet parts of jihyun & none of the bad. I’m not sure if you guys are aware, but trauma does that to people. My abusive father could be the goofiest person on the planet, especially when i was a kid. So now that i’m an adult, i can’t for the life of me be with a man that’s goofy or playful bc all i see is my dad, and then i just start thinking “what if he turns out like that too?”. It’s gotten so bad to the point were although i am attracted to men, i just cant see myself raising a family with one because then all i think is that one day they’re gonna snap and it’s gonna be that same situation my mom was in with my father. i don’t go out of my way to see the bad in men, it’s just something that happens even though im sure there are honest, sweet, genuinely good guys out there that are nothing like my dad. So chiwoo isn’t saying kyujin is a bad guy nor is chiwoo a bad person for thinking like that, it just shows how much abuse he endured when jihyun was around.
