I wish she'd act a bit more mature, considering her "real age." I forgot she was reincarnated...
I know she said in a previous chapter that she feels like she feels younger and sillier because of the way others treat her, but seriously? Before, she was 7 years old but everybody was like WOAHHH when she said 1 + 1 = 2... and now, she's acting super flustered with a kid?
I'm not sure. I love her character, but I feel like this shouldn't have been a reincarnation manga.
No, she doesn't. And you just stated why. Gee, I wonder what they would do to a girl that seemed more knowledgeable than she should be given how callously even the kindest people in the empire treat the lives of other people. Given that it really doesn't seem like SHE'S the 'stupid' one now does it? Otgn.
I mean... not doing advanced math and being immature are two completely unrelated things... and my biggest issue about her wasn't that she can't do math (despite the time period being sorta behind compared to hers) but that she isn't acting her mental age. I say she's way too good at "acting" like a kid. At this point, she's just being a little kid who occasionally remembers her mental age.
A logical explanation for this is just the human psyche and human nature. Have you heard of the Stanford Prison Experiment? Normal people were assigned roles of prisoner and guard and put into a prison like environment. People naturally conform to a role they’re given. The “guards” even went as far to harass the “prisoners”, some who developed extreme mental stress due to the experiment. Even the psychologist who was leading the experiment made the mistake of assigning himself a role of Superintendent of the prison so even he didn’t stop the experiment when it escalated as he was also absorbed in his role. They really and truly believed they were guards and prisoners so they proceeded to act like one. This only took a few days. Nevermind a girl who was literally born into another world and body, it wouldn’t take much for her to conform to her role, although I don’t know if that’s also what the author thought of to explain this. I think my explanation can also be applicable to other stories similar to this one.
Oh yea, I've heard of that. That makes sense.
That makes a lot of sense actually, now that I think about it. I think the reason I found it so strange in this case is that other manga like this (girl/boy dies and reincarnates) always have reincarnation as a really big theme. The girl/boy uses their intellect from their past life to use in their new life.
To that point, I still think there was little reason in making this a reincarnation manga. I honestly forgot it was until she brought it up in the last chapter. Anyway, she's still adorable so that's all that matters, right? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Pffff same it’s been so long I don’t remember if she was hit by a car or murdered or whatever, I don’t even remember what she did in her past life. But yeah, I think her circumstances and environment warrant her acting a bit childish. Btw have u seen how she looks when she’s older? She’s stunnniinngggg
This is interesting in the way that I'm still reading even tho it has all of the most common romance novel cliches.
1) MC likes the prettiest, most sporty, most friendly and, of course, the most popular girl in school.
2) After some misunderstanding, the MC is going out with said person (except this time, MC went out with some one else).
3) MC misunderstands when he hears that his crush "kissed" or was seen with another girl. Turns out said girl was the guy's sister so a few days/weeks pass by with the MC misunderstanding.
4) MC exaggerates his feelings by saying things like "omg do I actually like him?" or "I can't stop thinking about him."
5) MC is actually really handsome and is basically perfect and becomes popular with the rest of the school after being a nobody (this time it's the other MC tho). Their crush remains a nobody and doesn't really have good grades and isn't attractive.
6) Turns out the MC's crush actually had their eyes on the MC a long time ago...
There are a few more but I'll stop here.
Yep, it's interesting how I'm still into this when I usually ditch romance novels if they show too many cliches. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Sanghee, please, are you okay??
