God FUCK. THIS. STORY. If I could actively give it 0 stars rather than just keeping it unrated, I would. The people singing praise for this story are retarded. The development of the plot was inconsistent, the development of literally all relationships in this story was inconsistent, and the characters themselves were inconsistent. Just a whole fucking mess of half-assed, half-baked bullshit. The whole story spent its time dicking us around with the development of the MC's illness, barely making it any worse as the entire story went on, only to kill him off-screen overnight because . . . I don't fucking know. They tried to correlate a whole separate case of someone who got the transplant but still died to the MC now dying but that makes literally no sense because that's not! How! It! Works! And then during literally the last two or three chapters the two love interests had a small moment of what was basically a dick measuring contest which ruined both characters for me because like . . . Your boyfriend. IS DYING. And that nurse was out here doing "yeah we been fucking. Jealous?" Even though that's not even in character for him. LIKE . . . HELLO? WHERE ARE YOUR PRIORITIES.

The only plus I can think of the story was that it started strong with the MC's grief over his dying relationship, I felt like that was incredibly realistic. I also like how the MC never really moved on; after devoting so much of your life to someone only to have it (both the relationship and your life) cut short, I found it realistic he wasn't ever really able to let go, even once he found someone who loved him. There was a lot of nuance with the MC's personality, but sadly that nuance was limited to just him.
(His final line would have hit a lot harder had I not been enraged by like literally the rest of the entire past chapter. Fuck this story)

The ending ended up pissing me off and severely bringing down this story. The MC just ends up getting dicked around. It was annoying. However, the art was gorgeous, and the beginning was incredibly strong. It was nice to see a protagonist in a BL for once who took no shit.

Art was a bit janky and the execution of the concept was quite underwhelming, but for what it was, it was cute.
