Catboy Catday
Dropped.
I didn't drop it because it was particularly bad or anything; the art was gorgeous and incredibly unique. I don't know if it was proper water paint or if it was a digital technique, but regardless, it was amazing to look at. The art was genuine art in-of-itself. And for what it's worth, I did like the main two characters, the catboy and the tired adult. It was cute to see the catboy still be more cat than boy despite being mainly human in appearance.
But, for me, it just didn't hook me. I finished chapter 15, realized I don't really care what happens next, and decided to put the book down. I didn't particularly like the dual timeline, and there were just too many main characters thrown in at once. I think there were like 5?
There will be people who like this, and I don't fault them for that. This isn't a thing where it's like a proper critique, this just simply isn't to my personal taste. So for that, I'll leave it unrated.
