This one is a lot less darker than misery tho. I still remember when the kidnapper in misery broke the mc'slegs. It was so traumatizing for a kid, idk why my dad made me watch it Anw, at least the kidnapper in this one gives the mc some pain killer (I assume) before he breaks his legs :")

Imagine how it was around 15 years ago. Every yaoi I read back then had a rape scene. It wasn't even the cocky uke type, innocent uke, studious uke, whatever kind you can imagine, the seme rapes them to get the "relationship" going. Awful.
True. That's why I avoided reading old yaoi. I guess yaoi tropes is getting better these days, although dubcon is still common.
